I've heard it's good, looked at it on Netflix a few times, but have yet to add it to my queue. I see that's it been around longer than me. Would it be enjoyable to just watch the current ones or should one go back and watch all the old stuff first? Or is it even worth watching?

I love the new series.  I used to watch the old with my dad but I didnt watch much and don't remember it.  You can just start with the new.  My son loves to watch some of them too.  It is a bit scary but is considered a family show in the uk and most episodes are appropriate for kids (besides the scary factor).
