I need to get a scale!
When I weighed myself at the inlaws on the 20th of November I was 171 or so. Hopefully at my doc appointment (haven't done the 6 week postpartum yet even though ds2 is 2.5 mo) I am a little less or at least the same. I would like to lose 5 lbs by the end of February. I want to aim on the low side since it is winter so harder to exercise, the holidays are here, and I am nursing and don't want to lose weight too fast. |

laurie i am almost exactly with you!
i was 123-125 before dd. got to 155. was down to 135 within 3 weeks, then 132, then back to 134 where i stayed for about 3 months. now i am 132 and the goal is 125. my goal over christmas though is not to gain more than 1 lb. so if i can do that, i will be fine. ideally i would be 130 by the new year, but that's getting greedy lol. i am also nursing and would like to lose about 1 lb a week. eta measurements: 1/27 waist- 28.5 hips- 34 thigh- 20 arm- 11 weight- 127.5 Edited by minneapolismama - 27 Jan 2011 at 4:06pm |

Goals: to get down to 140lbs, drink more water (always a problem for me in the winter months!), and increase fruit and veggie intake a LOT! I want to be more active in general, and will start by walking more and as my back heals (herniated disk) I'll start doing a strength class and yoga again as well.
I definitely need to cut out fast food, and then work on cutting down on eating out. Period. And I'd like to cut out soda, but it so often helps w/my migraines that it's a hard sell. |

I don't really have any bad food I need to cut out. I get a jr. breakfast burrito from sonic once a week maybe and share a little of my dh's slush but in general I don't eat junk. Which is really annoying because it would be so easy if I just had to cut out something to see weight loss. But I don't put extra butter on any of my food, I don't add extra sugar to stuff, I don't buy snacks that are unhealthy, we don't drink soda and rarely drink juice, etc.
If I make cookies I eat too many, but I dont' make them often so I can avoid that. So I really just need to snack more on veggies and fruit and less on cheese and just eat less of the things I am already eating. Which is easier said than done. |

My goal is to lose 2lbs a week and be at my goal weight of 145 by the end of March. If I can get to 145, ideally I'd like to be 135 at some point after that. My pre DH weight was somewhere between 140-145, on my wedding day probably 153ish, pre Caelan between 155-160, post Caelan 178 at the lowest before Cullen, 188 after Cullen, then 195 after I got the horrible Mirena. I'm down to 169 as of today. I can fit into my pre Caelan jeans which are a size 12, but I would ideally like to be in an 8. I've been doing Weight Watchers since the beginning of November with good results, but I haven't been working out lately so I need to start again.
January 4th 165lbs down 30 so far!!
January 16th 163lbs :)
I've been doing P90X for 1 week and 3 days and getting great results already mixing it up with WW Edited by JamieNoblit - 16 Jan 2011 at 11:49am |

I'm in too!
Goals: 1) Get back to running. I need to find the time. 3 runs (or walk/runs at first) a week would be golden! I will aim to complete a local 5K race July 1, 2011. 2) Less fast food. I will cut back to once a week 3) More fruits and vegetables. I will aim for 5-10 a day. 4) I'd love to loose 10 pounds, which would put me back to pre-kid weight. However, I'm going to make fitness and healthy eating my primary goals, and hope that the weight will follow. |

I am in--
I want to loose a total of 30lbs- exercise more- eat more veggies/fruits.
I do pretty well at home but have problems at work- there always seems to be cookies, brownies, pumpkin bars, ect.
do a daily food journal to mark progress.
My pre DH weight was around 150 - gained 20 lbs after we got married to 170 , got pregnant w/Joseph gained 40lbs - lost all but 10 weighed in at 180 - got pregnant gained 40 lbs w/Jordan- back down to 180 now.
Now that winter is here i need to figure out exercise. It was easy during the warm months- the boys and I biked/walked almost every night and I was getting an extra walk/run in after work 3 days a week.

My goal is to eat healthier this pregnancy, more fruits & veggies and less sugary/fatty snacks. I get so hungry it is hard and my body just seems to pack on the pounds crazily while pregnant. I gained 60 with DS but I would like to gain no more than 35 this time. Not sure if this is possible, and I think I've already gained close to 10 at 15 weeks and I haven't been eating so very much. I also want to exercise at least 4x a week. This is tough in the winter though! I tried to talk DH into getting a gym membership where they have day care for kiddos but not sure if we can afford it. My other option (besides stuff at home) is to go swimming at night after DH is home to watch DS, but I don't see myself going out in the freezing cold at night honestly.

I'm in! I'm trying to lose at least 30 lbs. I started a C25K awhile back, but have not made great progress on it-I keep repeating some weeks because I am definitely not a runner. So my goals are:
-maintain a low carb/diabetic diet (I am not diabetic, but have the potential to be)
-increase f&v
-more exercise! hopefully in the form of running
-Be down 30lbs by this time next year
I'm all about realistic goals

I am down my first 1.5 lbs!!!
So far, I have met my goal of not eating out. We're eating the food that's in the house for now and I'll be headed to the grocery store in a bit to get some more fruits and veggies, mainly. There's plenty of protein in the house for a while. :) |

I am 34 years old, 5'4" tall, I weigh 143 lbs. I am not good at eating my vegetables.
My best healthiest self was at age 26, 138 lbs when I was in competitive sports, but I'm not kidding myself that I can spend an hour running or rowing and 30 minutes weight training everyday like I was doing back then. I miss my six pack. I had amazing arms. I'm also not going to kid myself and thing I can get down to my highschool weight of 115lbs. My goal is around 130 lbs without all the muscle bulk. But really what I want to acheive is to be able to tow Ellie in the bike trailer for an hour around town and still feel good. What ever weight happens to go with that, I will be fine with. How I plan to acheive this: I am digging out my "Bluff Bride" book, my free weights, my exercise ball and my step. I am going to follow the six month plan. I am going to either wii fit or fat chance bellydance video to make up the 30 minutes of cardio. I would love to jog, but it's -30 out here now. I'm trying to be realistic about what I can do. Ellie gets a kick out of watching me dance. As a reward, when I am at or below 135lbs for two weeks straight, I am going to buy some new zills. When I am at or below 130lbs for a month, I am going to buy matching bra and panty sets again. I am sick of the mommy panties. I am struggling with having to set a weight goal. I have never worried about the numbers on the scale as long as I can do what I need to. I can't anymore. I have to face it that I am not as healthy as I want to be. It bothers me that I can't run to catch Ellie without feeling out of breath. I would rather set rewards based on something other than weight, but I don't know how to quantify that feeling better-ness. |
