Would anyone participate putting like a monthly photo up of your progress?  I would never do it anywhere but here, but I find that super motivating. With measurements or something?  Is that allowed, and would people do it?  If so I'd be in!

I have done okay so far--made myself too busy this morning/afternoon for "real" food and ended up at Wendy's drive through (which is just too tempting since I have a gift card--come on, it's like FREE FOOD! lol). Anyway, got a jr. cheeseburger deluxe (so there's SOME veggie w/the tomato and lettuce and pickles) and fries. I know, fries totally don't count if they're not home made.

But for dinner we just had squash soup and spinach w/butter and cream cheese. YUM!

DD and I made meringue cookies today, so I'll be having at least a couple of them later. But then I'll have some cereal w/pomegranate and milk and maybe a clementine as well.

I just wanted to add Morgan I should have looked for you earlier as your list of food for the day totally made me feel guilty about sitting here eating chips and dip.  Okay I am getting up and putting them away and grabbing a banana.  We have very little junk food anymore but DH left his chips and dip here when he left for his tripAngry

Tomorrow my BFF and I are getting together to do Xmas baking so you can about imagine how that will go.  I did lose 1 lb as of yesterday though.  You are not supposed to weigh yourself everyday but, it keeps me motivated

LOL Amber!  Sorry my boring food list yesterday made you feel guilty.  Here's one for ya!  I have to run to Walmart today and I am craving peppermint ice creamStern%20Smile  I don't think I will have to will power to resist, since it will be right there!!!  EEEK!

Oh and I think it's fine to weigh yourself daily, I agree that it does help, there are some days though where the scale doesn't move and that's frustrating, but you just have to keep on keeping on :)  Oh and take measurements too!  You'll probably see the biggest results there first!

Tuesday Food Journal:

Breakfast-string cheese stick, 1 c. Special K w/berries, 1 c. fruit
Lunch-Paradise Chicken Salad from AppleBee's and a handful of fries-they are sooooo yummy!
And about 6 M&M's, they didn't really taste that great, weird.
Supper-Beef Stew leftovers
Dessert-mini BlizzardTongue

Fruit- 1 2 3 4 5
Veggies- 1 2 3 4 5
Waters- 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8

Exercise: walking, I parked a ways from the door so I had to walk across the parking lot.  And I walked *briskly* in the parking lot and in the stores, as much as I could :P  Not great, but at least it's something.

morgan, i say get the ice cream- the real deal, because the ww has icky stuff in it i think (artificial to make no calories taste good) and just scoop out a small thing- i put my ice cream now in 4-6 oz ramekins! when it's gone it's gone. and if i have more later, i make sure to still use the small size and not fill it :)

yesterday was ok.
breakfast was gingerbread cake- not the greatest start...
lunch was a turkey, roasted red pepper and goat cheese panini with some chips and an apple
snack was a cookie my step mom made and sent us
dinner was squash and lentil soup with sourdough bread and bell pepper slices

today breakfast was 1 egg, cheddar cheese on a whole wheat english muffin
we are going out to lunch at a greek place and i am going to have greek salad with chicken on it- probably high cal with the feta, dressing, etc. (plus i always eat pita there..) but it has lots of veg and chicken and chickpeas!
i am having a friend over for cookie baking day- yikes! i think i will probably eat cookies for snack/dinner and just round it out with some veggies and cottage cheese because i know i willl sample at least one or two of each kind of cookie.

Morgan- I have found in the winter when it is too cold to walk outside as much that little bits of extra exercise is easier than trying to do it for an hour or so at a time.

Snack- 1 small piece of wacky cake (chocolate cake made with applesauce)
            chips and home made salsa

supper- small plate nachos w/blackbeans and salsa- big bowl of steamed corn w/butter and salt

Exercise-
Mini work out this morning (20 min.) - weight machine, run the stairs 10 times and ab routine

OOh, it's way too hard to resist peppermint ice cream this time of year!!! Although dairy is really bothering me this pregnancy so I am having an easier time saying no.

This morning I was proud because we were at the doctor's office which is close to the gas station where they make the BEST breakfast pizza, but I drove home instead and had a rice & bean burrito for lunch. Thumbs%20Up Followed by a few chocolate chips, but not very many. I need to have a piece of fruit, too since I haven't had any fruit and only a bit of veggies in my burrito.

Well we are back from our little shopping outing, had lunch with my mom at Applebees, had a salad, lots of veg there and protein in the chicken.  She ordered a basket of fries so I had a handful, how can one resist Applebee's fries?  LOL

Oh and I didn't buy the ice cream.Approve  I figured better to not even have it in the house.  At least not at this point.

I didn't know the WW ice cream had icky stuff in it.  I'll have to check the label on the skinny cow ice cream.  I just figured since it was smaller portions thats why it had less calories.

So I ate a whopper jr for lunch and a couple of fries, and some penny candy from this awesome candy store that we never go to.  I had to get the kids stocking stuffers.  So for dinner I'll eat a lean cuisine & call it a day...and probably be under my points actually so I'm glad!

i dont know what kind you have but here is the ingredient list from the dulce de leche ice cream (i wanted to see vanilla but it wasn't on there)
skim milk, sugar, caramel swirl [corn syrup, sugar, water, sweetened condensed skim milk (condensed skim milk, sugar), modified corn starch, salt, soy lecithin, xanthan gum, caramel color] corn syrup, polydextrose, whey protein, cream, calcium carbonate, Inulin (Dietary Fiber), Propylene Glycol Monostearate, microcrystalline cellulose, caramel color, Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose, guar gum, monoglycerides, sorbitol, carob bean gum, citric acid, vitamin A palmitate, carrageenan, natural and artificial flavor, salt

i usually stick to breyers of haagen dasz because they have mostly milk, cream, sugar, eggs and then whatever flavoring. and usually i stick to basics, like mint, coffee, strawberry, because they have no weird stuff. but if you get into the crazy breyers flavos of course they do have more. breyers mint and vanilla and stuff really only has about 130-160 calories also!

L-spaghetti/meat sauce, garlic toast, salad, cake for dessert (this wasn't planned...my van broke down when I was across the border getting the mail, so we ate lunch while we waited for DH to come fix it)

S-chicken noodle soup (homemade) with lotsa carrots...another apple, a slice of sourdough bread w/butter
S-a really crappy "fruit" rollup....I don't know why I ate it...sugar craving I guess!
I need to go to bed, but I guess I'll drag myself downstairs for a bit of exercise first!  I never did do my exercise last night!

i vow to try to not eat any more cookies today! i kinda want to make molasses since they're the last kind i *need* to make, but then i am definitely going to be eating dough and cookies lol.

Doh! I made the mistake of not eating enough before we ran to the mall, was so ravenous (that scary pregnant-lady hunger!!!) I stopped and got a piece of breakfast pizza. It was soooo good though.Tongue

Also tried to walk at the mall, but DS was being so naughty (not really naughty, guess I should say more 'mischevious') we had to leave.Wacko
