ME Bedwetter Pants vs Toddle-ease vs ?

My sis called last night and said she was tired of buying pullups for my 2.5 yr old niece who is day trained but still wets at night. She said she still fills up a sposie or pullup, but doesn't leak out of one. She's not interested in cloth diapers in general, so I don't think she'd want my extra large flats to use on her DD at night.

So, I suggested either ME bedwetter pants which would be easier since it is AIO or the toddle-ease that can be stuffed with a L prefold and she can use my extra XL MEAFs. But, I don't know how the two compare absorbancy wise other than the abosrbancies listed on the ME site.

Or, would 2 large prefolds padfolded in a Capri work? The easier the better, but the bedwetter pants are pretty expensive.

I think Liz uses them on her older ones, so maybe she'll chime in. The price has always scared me away.  

I never tried the bed wetter pants but i did try 2 pre folds in a capri. Way too bulky and the kid was not comfortable. Though i dont know about the me toddler ease, i should look into these options more myself because s is pl'ing very soon. Just wondering, wouldn't a pull on trainer do the job?

We have used both ME bedwetter pants and Nikky Nighttime Pants http://babyworks.com/potty-training/training-pants/nikky-all-night-pants-for-big-kids.html  and are super happy with both.  Currently using them with a 3 year old and 4 year old.  The MEs are bulkier, more expensive, and take longer to dry, but I think they also may be a bit more absorbent too.  The Nikkys, while not trim, are definitely trimmer than the MEs and a tad easier for little ones to pull up and down - one of my daughters is a pretty heavy wetter and we put a doubler inside the Nikkys just to be safe!  I would recommend either brand! 

My SIL uses ME bedwetters with her 4 y/o and loves them, but they are bulky. Her little guy actually sings a song about his nighttime pants, lol! They hold a ton but I think a Toddlerease with a hemp doubler holds as much. That's what I use on Izzy at night with a Disana soaker but a Bummis super whisper pant would do as well for a cd newbie. Pull ups are so expensive for how little they hold! She'd definitely save a lot in the long run and it might even help her lo night train ;)

I think it would be OK as long as you had snugish jammies over it. I actually have 2 that I got for my nephew but they were too small for him at 38 pound. If you're interested shoot me a message :)

We had the best luck using the Snap-EZ stuffable trainers stuffed with GMD prefolds and a MF towel or doubler on top of the pf.  My son either got terrible red marks or leaked in everything else.  And these washed up beautifully to keep ammonia at bay.

I used BW and they worked great, never a leak or stink problems. ODS ended up on the high weight of the smalls so they got too snug and I sold them. They are puffy, but no more than some of the other night options out there

Now he wears a Toddler Side Snapping Tinkle Trap under a fleece pull on cover. It does not hold as much as a BW but he was to the point that he was not as wet as he once was.

The BW hold more than the TE and the TE needs a cover. If you want an AIO the BW do work great though. I did like the option of picking a cover because I prefer fleece and wool for over night (but that is just a personal preference)
