A bit of a vent first: I've been using Grovia Bioliners since LO started solids 2 months ago. I was loving them ... until our toilet clogged. Plumber is here currently, and it's bad - as in I am now spending roughly the same amount I spent on my ENTIRE diaper stash to fix the clog caused by the bioliners. UGH. :( Suffice it to say, we're done with those and looking for a reasonable, reliable diaper sprayer. I've heard mixed reviews on BG, plus it seems pricey, but beyond that I'm not well educated as to what's out there, what (if any) differences there are between them, etc. Please help! DH is kind of at his wit's end. Thanks!! |

I find that most poo is "ploppable". But it is very nice when it is not to be able to spray. I have this sprayer: http://www.littlemonkeystore.com/Mini-Shower-Diaper-Sprayer_p_152.html It works great, was a breeze to install, and is multifunctional (b/c of the pressure adjuster). I also use mine as a bidet at times. I put mine in my ensuite so that little hands won't make my bathroom a flood zone later...

There are essentially 2 out there the stainless steel BG sprayer and the mini shower that is made by one company and sold to different businesses like FB to put their name on. I've had them both.
BG- I like the way it looks. However, at our old house we had a brand new toilet and had to use a hack saw to cut the tabs off the attachment piece b/c it was too close to the back of the bowl to turn for installation. Once installed it's worked great it's over 3 years old and going great. The pressure isn't as adjustable as I like, but I'm happy with it. It has a lever that is kinda just on or off and I can sort of control the spray by how hard I squeeze the handle. Has a hook for toilet tank.
Mini shower- Has a T-valve that controls the pressure and turns it off. This makes it easy to reach your desired pressure. I don't like how it looks as much, but oh well. We had ours installed at the shop and it held up to public use. It had a narrower attachment piece and didn't nee to be modified. Attachs to wall for storage. (I have one of these new in the package if you're interested)
They both get the job done imo. They can be spendy, but ar well worth the investment. If your husband is handy you can easily get the pieces at Home Depot or similar and make your own for a fraction of the cost. Edited by 3boysMom - 22 Jun 2012 at 3:01pm |

My husband is super handy and we looked into doing it ourselves, but the parts would have come to about $25 and who knows how long of his time... In the end we decided on the mini shower. It was $45. I picked it up so shipping was zero. I am so not sorry because I love the features (clips onto toilet, nice long handle, adjustable pressure, etc.).

I have a flo diaper sprayer. I think it is the one that Swaddlebees sells. I really like it, the parts are higher quality than the last one I had (the mini shower one). There is a water pressure control switch right on the handle. It also came with a hook to attach it to the toilet so you don't have to put it in the wall. I think price-wise they are all about the same and I am really pleased with this one so far.

We made out own. You can do it fairly cheap at any home improvement/hardware store, but you can do it even cheaper if you check a place like Habitat for HUmanity ReStore. It's really not hard at all.
http://gidgetgoeshome.com/2008/08/25/diy-tutorial-make-your-own-diaper-sprayer/ ETA: Depending on the placement of your tub & toilet, you could also get a pet sprayer attachement. They usually hook to the tub faucet, so you could use that if it is close enough to your toilet. If you have a dog that you bathe, it would come in handy for more than just diapers.
