Can anyone recommend a good sun protective hat for infants that are babywearing compatible? I've got myself a sweet little baldie and he spends a lot of time in the wrap when we are outside but he doesn't like his head tucked in the wrap when he's awake. The brims on the sunhats we have bump up against me while I'm wearing him and get knocked off. I'm almost thinking I need something like the newborn fitted hats, but those would be too hot now, not to mention too small at DS's age (almost 3 mos.) Is there any type of brimless lightweight hat for babies? Otherwise I have to put sunscreen on his head

What about a sun hat with a strap to hold it on? It'd probably still bump you, but at least it wouldn't fall off.

We have one like that and it ends up hanging around his neck frequently. It's a slight improvement over our strapless hat. Since he's still so little he still keeps his head nuzzled up to me and rubs his face/ head up against my chest.

what about a lightweight sweater with a hood? Thats what we do a lot for baby ds a lot of the time, but it doesn't get hot here, the high today is around 65.

Thank you! This idea just gave me the obvious solution I hadn't thought of. A hooded rash guard or swim cover up. |
