Just got these out of the garden this week! The tomatoes weren't quite ripe, but the bugs were starting to nibble so I went ahead and picked them... a day or two later on the counter and they were plenty tasty! These are Early Girl's (not sure the smallest one)... I'm really hoping my heirlooms survive to produce some fruit. I have Mr. Stripey and Cherokee Purples for sure. There are one or two other varieties that I planet early in the season and have totally blanket on what kinds they were (or where I planted them Tongue). This is my first year trying out this area for a garden bed and I can already tell some areas are doing better than others. I'm hoping with some good compost and a nice cover crop this fall/winter next year will be even better! I do know I have a rabbit visiting, but not sure how much damage it's doing if any. Something took care of my broccoli, but I'm pretty sure that was bugs.

3 Early Girl tomatoes
1 unknown tomato
3 heads purple cauliflower (only one shown since the others were in the fridge)
1 teeny tiny Black Beauty (?) sweet pepper (that might have been the name of something else - eggplant maybe?)

Yay! I'm slightly jealous of your tomatoes... They won't be ready around these parts until August!

We've been harvesting tons of chard, arugula, radishes and other salad greens. I just saw that my broccoli is starting to crown... Now to keep the darn dog from eating it all like she did last year!

Beautiful!  I am jealous.  We just have gotten things planted over the past couple of weeks.  We really need to amend our soil so I'm not expecting the best harvest this year.

Beautiful! We got a late start here too - we have been working on getting a more permanent garden in place and the fence took DH a long time in the limited hours/days he had to work on it.  But it's up now and we got our starts in the ground a couple weeks ago, although I only planted one bed (we have room for probably 4 large beds and then some potted things around them inside the fence).  Can't wait until we start seeing some veggies!

I'm so jealous! My tomatoes *just* started to bloom a couple days ago. And hopefully didn't freeze to death last night since I forgot to move them into the garage. Pinch  That cauliflower is beautiful!
