I need to get some doublers for my 2 year old. We use GMD prefolds (red mediums) and Flip covers (and will be doing the same on our new arrival in August). I'd like to keep to cotton/hemp if possible because I've had some serious problems with stink issues in the past. What are your favorites? What would work well with this set up?

I've been checking out the GMD website and saw the cotton doublers there as well as the idea to just use a newborn prefold. Thoughts on using a newborn prefold?

I like premie prefolds as doublers. NB prefolds are too bulky as a daytime doubler in a flat or prefold, IMO. GMD's cloth-eez/Workhorse doublers are great, too!

I like jersey hemp doublers. Thirsties makes a nice one that fits the width of a flip.

I like newborn prefolds for doublers! Or sometimes even a small pad folded flat.

I like the Clotheez cotton ones and their fleeced hemp ones, too (esp. great at night). If I want something super slim, I use our Hemp Babies; they're really quite thin. I've never had preemie or newborn PFs, so I can't comment on those.

Another vote for preemie PFs! GMD's orange edge (what I think of when it comes to NB PFs) are definitely too thick for us for day use. I also will use small flats sometimes, but that's mostly for nights too.

I ended up getting a dozen preemie GMD's PF,  3 more Flip covers (yay for b2g1f!), and a wet bag. I think my stash and diapering system is complete. I will be satisfied and there will be no more shopping! My husband thinks I'm crazy for spending my birthday money on "more laundry." Silly man.

I have just discovered the love of preemie prefolds for my 2 year old!  They are awesome and cheap.  The other doubler we have that I like are Hemp Babies.

I can hardly wait until they come in the mail! It's so exciting. Until then, I've gone retro and am using old, thin wash cloths to line the middle of a trifold...it works really well. My great-grandmother would be proud :P

I use cloth wipes if I run out of doublers :)  Yay for fluffy mail!

Ditto! I forgot about that, even though I do it quite often Tongue
