Do you have diapers specifically for others (i.e. daddy, grandma or babysitter) to diaper your child?  If so, which brand/style/closure do you reserve for others?

Yes, we have pockets and AIO's that pretty much only get used for daycare.  Mainly Blueberries, BG, HH.

Yep-- I have BG AIO,  BG OS pockets, HH pockets, Thirsties AIO all with aplix that are for daddy, daycare and grandmas.  i have some pockets w/snaps that grandma will use and daycare but for some reason DH can't figure out that if there is more than one snap on the tab he should probably use it.

No, anyone and everyone who watches my kids uses prefolds trifolded in covers. Mostly I pre-load a few, but sometimes I just send one extra cover and 2-3 extra prefolds. Nobody has ever complained or gotten it wrong though, so it must be pretty easy and self explanatory!

I've never had different diapers for DH or my mom who watches my LOs a lot.  DH can use just about anything, including being good with a snappi (but no pins for him) and my mom will pin (but is terrible with a snappi ).  ITA with Stephanie that the biggest issue is having too much variety and it being confusing - as long as what we use is pretty consistent they're good with whatever.

I think I have to have aplix for DH (only changed 2-3 diapers EVER) and Grandma who is terrible with snaps.  Or, will they get better if I have them practice Wink  Has to be a convenience diaper for sure unless it is a Sandy's with wool - I think anyone can do that, right?

I don't reserve them for him but dh always puts pocket dipes with Velcro on DS. My mom diapered me with flats pins and plastic pants but has never changed my kids. We live far away so the kids have never visited her alone.

DH even pins flats so he will use whatever but usually for others I throw in BGE since they hold a ton and fit both girls on the same rise setting

This is my mom and MIL - the snaps would be half done or the diaper on crooked . . . a total mess!

I saw a pic on another site with a Daddy wearing a baby on his back hanging diapers on a clothesline. Oh yeah!

My DH hates sandy's because he can't figure out the side snaps.

Mine too. He used to prefold all of the flats into shape, he was so proud of his folding skills. He pins too, though he went through a lot of really poop explosions before he really got it down.

Not anymore. I used to have pockets for Dh, but got rid of them. Now he'll almost always reach for a fitted and cover. That's also what I send to my mom's, but she can use prefolds too since that's what she used on me.

I use to save the pockets for daycare but I've branched out and given them fitteds and pul covers as well as flats or prefolds pre loaded in a cover. I even send woolies now for nap time because DS was leaking. They have been really willing to use whatever I send. Sometimes someone there messes up the snaps on some of the pockets but most of the time they figure it out. For my mum who occasionally watches DS it's usually a fiited and wool but she figures it out on her own as well.
DS1 babysat DS3 for the first time that was more than 1/2 hour or so a couple of weeks ago. He was so cute. Fed him dinner, cleaned him up and got him ready and into bed. When I got home DS1 was so proud of himsellf and took me up to show how he put him to bed all ready. DS3 was in a fitted with no cover but he got the snaps right. I was impressed. I left no instructions.

DH will use any diaper, but he gets confused about which diapers need covers and which do not.  He also worries about whether he is using the correct snap setting.  He feels more confident when consistently using the same type of diaper.  He prefers to use our fleece Snap-Ez pockets.  Unfortunately, they were discontinued a couple years ago.

For my in-laws I buy disposables, because they are anti-cloth.  However, she recently commented that I wasted too much money buying Nature Babycare diapers and suggested I buy Huggies instead.  When our new little one is born, I will buy flats for the in-laws.  Then I can brag about how much money I saved.

My parents are willing to use any type of diapers, but too much variety confuses them.  I plan on buying a few sized aplix AIOs for them to use, because they both have some arthritis in their hands and my mom has Parkinson's.  I have yet to decide which brand of diaper though.

My Hubby likes aio's because the little lady is super squirmy these days... He likes that they are one step instead of two.
