What age child?  As they get older they need less changes so you'd need less diapers.  I'd guess maybe 3 or 4 doz, depending upon how often you plan to do laundry.

i would say three dozen if you are starting on a smaller child. i have four dozen and think it would be too many even with frequent changes. of course, mine went through a period of serious heavy wetting so that would mean using two diapers at a time. four dozen would probably be a good choice in that situation. so, i say three or four dozen as well :)

I've done well with 3 dozen - and I always used two at a time, but I did have to be vigilant about washing every two days. If you want to be able to have more wiggle room for washing every two to three days, then I'd do 4 dozen.

I have 36 for one baby full time right now, but it was also enough for a full time baby, a full time toddler and another 2 for night time dipes.
