With the pics of people's stashes lately, it's got me curious, what are the different things people use to store their diapers?

Currently I just have one of those plastic 3-drawer things but it is definitely not big enough so I usually have a lot of clean diapers on the back of the couch, that need to be put away!!  LOL

It's hard to keep my house neat/organized all the time with a 1 year old so the diapers don't look like much of an eye-sore or anything ... they blend in Wink

What about you?

My 50+ year old house has built in storage, so Calvin's room has some nifty shelves that most of his diapers fit on.  Kitty corner from the only place in the room that his changing table would fit, so handy, even!

I have shelves in DS' closet and I put some plastic bins on a shelf to hold our pf's. I also have a small dresser that his other dipes, covers, doublers, & wipes are stored in, and the changing pad is on top of that.

we don't use a changing table...my crazy kids are just too squirmy and the floor has always worked best.

Nana has a big dresser in her room and PF just get stacked on top, covers and my cup of pins get stuffed in the top drawer, random extras in the next drawer down, and then the rest is for her clothes. i hang her wool in the closet but thats just cause its a convenient place to have it dry thats not in the way.

Thanks for the thread...I really need some ideas! We have so many different types of things that we use right now and I just don't know how to organize it. Mostly it's in stacks near the diaper area, but I really need to get a hold of a changing table and some large baskets so I can get it all sorted and organized. I'm usually so OCD about this stuff but lately we just can't figure out what we want to do, with yet another coming to join the diapering arena in our home. Pics would be great if you guys have them!

I have a 1930s dresser that I used to use for my clothes. It looks cute in the nursery, so I put all her diapers in there. One small drawer holds inserts, another small drawer holds wet bags and snappis. Then I have pockets in one drawer, Goodmamas in a drawer, other fitteds in a drawer (BSRBs, Elbees) and then I have wool and covers in the bottom drawer. It works well and keeps it all concealed.... unless it's laundry day, and then I have a bit of an overflow problem! I need to sell some to get it all contained!

I store them in the bathroom vanity. I have 2 plastic drawers under there for covers and accessories, and the diapers are folded in baskets on top of the drawers. The vanity only has 2 doors, no drawers so I just used what I had. It works great and since I change my LO's in the bathroom it only made sense.

Interesting that you change them in the bathroom... please elaborate  :)   Do you have one of those diaper bath things or do your bathroom floors have carpet or do you change them standing up?   I am totally just curious!!  :)

I keep mine in stacks on a shelf above our washer/dryer.  The laundry room is centrally located so it makes things easy to keep them there.

I do most changes right on the floor in our family room and am also known for having the next change or two of dipes laying out on the coffee table.  I keep my pail and wet bag in the family room unless we have company over, then I put it in the laundry room or the LOs room.  I have a changing pad on our dryer, but have not used it in months...the LOs keep getting squirmier and I worry that one will eventually take a tumble if I can't keep 2 hands on at all times, so I change them where they can't fall.

I'm scared to use the changing tables in public restrooms too...so far I have only changed them in the back of our van or laying on a blanket right on the ground hidden behind their giant stroller at soccer gamesShocked

Me too, but what do you do in public??  I've had to empty out the back of our van in a store parking lot just to change them LOL.  DH is not happy when he has half of our sams club purchases neatly stacked in the van just to hear me begging him to put it all back in the cart because I forgot that we needed to change diapers before we headed home..that has happened twiceShocked

Inserts, doublers, fleece liners and 8 pfs fit in DD's top dresser drawer along with burp cloths and socks.

Covers are in a basket on top of the dresser next to her changing pad along with pins (which I've used once!), snappis, baby lotion/diaper cream, bulb syringe and nasal saline mist, etc.

The rest of the clean pfs go in her bottom dresser drawer until the top drawer is getting low, then I move them up.

But now that we're sizing up in both clothes and pfs and adding flats to our stash I'm in the middle of re-arranging, so we'll see where things end up... I'll post pictures when I get a chance!

I have a fuzzy bath matt (that is easy to wash) and I just change them there. It is so easy because water is right there to wet the wipes, and no toting dirty diapers around the house to rinse out. Also keep the diaper pail in there so I am able to throw them in right away.

This is the basic idea.

It has changed a little since we moved and have a different bathroom, but the under storage still works the same.

This is when I had 2 in cloth FT:
18 ME Sandy's on the right
Doublers in the middle
24 LL Flats on the left
DD covers in the left drawer
DS covers in the right drawer

I have a bookcase in Hayden's room that works wonderfully!  I have always changed her on the floor so I dont' have a changing table.  The bookcase stores the diapers wonderfully and when she PL's I can use it for what it's meant to be used for!  Open%20Smile

Our change table is in Sophie's closet(she's too long for it), so that is where I keep her dipes.

I keep our diapers in a dresser/changing table. It's a bigger dresser but this is the second time I've had two in diapers so I have a lot of diapers. I've had S's fitteds/covers in the bottom drawer, A's fitteds/covers in the middle drawer, and AIO OS dipes in the top drawer with wipes and wetbags. Prefolds/flats are in the cabinet that is attached and creams, snappis, flushable wipes in the little drawer above that. I'm going to have to rearrange though because S has outgrown all her newborn diapers and into the OS fitteds and I have too many prefolds/flats to fit in the cabinet anymore.

I live in a small town LOL so not many changes are done in public (everything is no more than five miles from my house)! If i HAD to i managed to use one of those Koala changer things like at McDonald's, but last summer most of the 'public' changes were done on the front seat of the car because i didn't want to haul the other two inside with me to JUST change the baby HAHAHA.

Other than that we use sposies for MOPS and Church unless i have nursury duty (all the moms rotate at church) because the younger moms are squeemish about cloth LOL, and the grandma ladies at MOPS have 4 other babies to change besides Nana that are sposie babies.

I use a entertainment center that my DH made in highschool it has shelves that the pf and fitteds sit on the covers and dubblers are on the lower shelf. On the top my DH made a rack to dry my wool covers and in the bottom I store all the diapers that we are not using since we are TTC I dont want to get rid of the sizes that he has out grown.

ummmm.....jumbled up in a clothes basket....

We change in the bathroom too. Our house was built in 1924, and has a bathroom that's almost as big as a bedroom (8x10 feet). We have a changing table, wet pail AND a small dresser in there for towels and things. I love having the toilet right behind me for poopy diapers, the sink right there for wipes, and there's even room for my clothes basket full of dipes!

I keep thinking someday I'm going to empty out that middle shelf on the changing table (right now it full of books and toys for keeping Dr Destructo occupied long enough for a diaper change) and keep my neatly folded and categorized diapers all nice and neat. Ain't gonna happen.Wink

I have a changing table in my room. I found some cute canvas "baskets" at target and 3 fit on each shelf for a total on 6. On the top shelf, 2 have pocket diapers and one has fitteds and covers.  On the bottom shelf, 1 has prefolds and wipes, one has pajamas, and one has wet bags, pail liners and extra covers for the changing pad.
