I had initially tried several different diapers before deciding to use GAD. I decided first on pocket because of the ease of cleaning and use. I liked some of the one-size pockets, but my toddler did not like the ones with velcro and I didn't like how others fit. I've now used GAD's for two different ages and sexes. I started using larges with a toddler who has been using them for almost a year now. They work great as a day-time diaper. They do leak after about 3 hours, but that is expected of most diapers I've found, so I don't use them at night for him. I instead use the semi-fitted GADs with a cover. I started using mediums with my infant when she was 2 months old. Again, they've worked great when wet and have even held some impressive poops with no leaks. I do use them at night with her but with a GAD cover. The occasional leak is usually due to diaperer, not diaper.
The diapers are of very good quality and the few I had problems with (snaps came apart or lining of shell disintegrated) Shannon was great on replacing. I found that the fleece lining is more durable with frequent washing and softer than bamboo if you hang them on a line. Even with hemp inserts they are bulky, but not enough that it is very noticable. I wish I had started using them when my son was an infant as they are durable, adjust to differet sizes well as the baby grows and work well as a diaper.
I did have problems originally with wicking, but after trying several different detergents and washing procedures, found one that worked and was easy. I will also post my experience with the inserts in that area too.

I am new to cloth diapering and HEAVILY researched which brands and types I would start with here on Diaperpin as well as other diapering blogs on the web. When I finally made my decision, GAD was a hands down due to the rave reviews I consistently came across. I had leak issues from the very start which was due, in part, to my inexperience as a new cd momma. I contacted the seller and she suggested some things to try, which I did. Her suggestions did improve my experiences with the gad diaper, but overall its performance remained very inconsistent. When it came time to select the diapers I would definitely go with from my trial stash, GAD missed the mark. I do appreciate the elastic at the tummy, and the trimness of the diaper; however, no matter which insert I tried or how careful I was stuffing the diaper, it was too unreliable at containing leaks, and cost me too much time in diaper changes to be worth continued use. If you are looking for a trim pocket diaper that has a good fit and consistently performs well, I recommend the Annie Marie Padorie pockets instead. They cost a bit more, but in my experience, are worth the added change.

Due to the many excellent reviews I found when researching this product, I decided to purchase a handful to use for my son--especially since I kept finding reviews on how well made these diapers were. At first I had some issues with leaking, and it took some trial and error with how I stuffed the insert, but it ended up resolving just fine. Initially I LOVED these diapers...they are adorable and trim! I liked them so much, I ordered more! Then, almost as soon as I ordered more, the ones I had initially ordered began to have snap issues--I contacted Shannon, and she offered to fix them for me, which I appreciated. I thought it was just a ""fluke"". A few weeks later, I had another snap issue with a different diaper, and the elastic on one of my diapers (which was only 2 months old at the time) completely failed...after I had followed the care instructions very carefully! I contacted Shannon again and she took care of it for me. The customer service was wonderful with these diapers. However, after a few more months of use I have continued to have issues with snaps and elastic on some of the remaining diapers that did not initially have issues...to where I have given up and sold all of them (disclosing their issues) and for a significant loss to myself...not to mention my disappointment--because I really did like these diapers. I realize that I could have continued to send them back to Shannon for free repair, but it got to a point for me where enough was enough! I would say the customer service was a 5, but the quality I would have give a 3. I'm sure it is possible that I just got a ""bad batch"". Needless to say, I was VERY disappointed over all! Shannon was wonderful to work with, very helpful--I'm sure if someone else went through this, and didn't give up like I did, they might have had a different experience.

These are the best! We started using them only at night and prefolds during the day. We are now increasing our inventory to use ONLY these. We use the bamboo velour with the hemp inserts. They are very luxurious. This combination with one doubler has lasted up to 10 hrs. with our very heavy wetter at night! Shannon's customer service is tops. It's so refreshing to do business with an actual mama instead of a nameless corp. Thanks Shannon you're the best!

This really is a great diaper, the only issue I have with it is the insert is just a little to long and I have to fold it up for my little girl, which makes the diaper a little more bulkier. For me be able to wear her clothes is the most important thing, I am a denim and cute shirt mom so with bulky diapers it is hard to wear denim, however she can wear some of her clothes with it which is better than the prefolds and covers. Overall the I haven't had any leaks and my husband just loves the cute designs on the butt, we love to just watch her walk around in this cute little diaper.

I am in LOVE with GAD diapers. I have used dissposble for most of my daughters life, But once i found these awesome diapers there was no turning back. I love the colors/fit and great design of these diapers. I have tried lots of other pocket diapers but we always go back to our GAD's. So now that is all we own:) We have never had a leak and we love the night time ones too. My daughter can go thirteen plus hours at night with out a wet bed in the morning. Also i love Sharron who has been so helpfull with everything i need. Once you try these diapers you will be in LOVE too.

Our all time favorite diaper. Colors, fabrics and embroideries are wonderful, craftsmanship like nothing else, customer service perfect.
Gads and BG were the only pocket diapers ever that I could always rely on, but GAD's being an all time favorite.
At first I experienced lots of leaking, but then discovered that I needed to stuff the diaper better for my skinny superwetter. Ever since, I never had a leak. If I needed to rely on them to go far without changing, I simply used the Berryplush inserts, snap-side down.
The fit is perfect IMO, there is plenty of room for extra booster or thicker inserts, yet still, it is always trim. I also like how adjustable they are and I really loved the fact that the ML was a birth-to-potty diaper for us :)
I recomend tem to everyone :)

I cannot say enough about how wonderful and helpful Shannon at GAD is. I purchased my first GADs new upon the recommendations from several friends. I really liked the embroidery, so I opted to get two custom diapers. She was very patient and helped me to choose colors that went well with the designs I had chosen. I also then bought a plain diaper for $16. When the diapers arrived, I was thrilled with them. They fit my son perfectly with room to grow. The embroidery was also very well done. My son is a heavy wetter and always requires two layers of inserts. My GADs are one of my favorite brands that I rely on to avoid leakage. I have since purchased a few other GADs from diaperswappers.com. My son has also thinned out a lot and the diapers still fit fine.
A couple of months ago, I tried a different company’s diapers, because they looked good and the embroidery was a little cheaper. I got what I paid for. The embroidery was not well done and I even sent one of those back to that vendor. I should’ve paid the extra money to get the embroidery done right from GAD.
Recently, I had problems w/ two of the snaps on one of my GADs. I contacted Shannon and she told me that she would fix them for me. Not only was she more than willing to fix them, but she did it very quickly. Her customer service is AMAZING. I would highly recommend these diapers and her awesome customer service.

I really wanted to love these diapers as they were so trim & came in such cute colors. But, I had wicking EVERY time I used them. Even after only one pee. I even used them with the GAD inserts. I tried a loopy-do, but it didn't hold. I ended up selling them back on Diaper Swappers.

I just started using cloth diapers after a year of disposables. My son is fairly long and thin which made finding a good fit difficult. I love that Green Acres makes a Medium Long size, fits my son perfectly! The hemp insert and doubler is great as well. My son sleeps on his side which makes finding the perfect day time diaper crucial. Since using these I haven't had any issues with leaks during his naps.

These are elegantly designed diapers. Clean lines, no bulky seams and a range of sizing options --- which is so important w/pockets since getting no leaks is to a large degree about finding the right fit. I love that there's an option for bi-monthly customs spots so I can get exactly what I want. We use custom GADs w/a microchamois inner/organic cotton bamboo velour outer (under wool) for nighttime.
The GAD inserts are great too (personally i wouldn't use a loopy-do in them as other reviewer have suggested -- I have one and it seems too narrow). The two layer loop design keeps everything washing and rinsing well. and the extra flap that you can place anywhere makes it convenient -- don't have to fuss w/finding extra stuffing.
And Shannon is a pleasure to work with. I was a little bit of a high-maintenance customer (e.g. goofed my order) and she was always very kind and responsive.

Finally! We've spent months trying different dipes, and while I had found ones I liked, it wasn't until trying GAD's, suggested by another mom, that I've found the dipe I LOVE. We have a tall, skinny boy and have had trouble finding dipes that fit both his legs and tummy. We tried the medium/longs and it's been a HUGE success. We've had a leak, but that was due to too much time between changes. I've gotten rid of almost everything else to stock up on GAD's. And, the insert that comes with them from Baby Hope's is great!

I bought one to try and immediately bought more. I loved being able to buy a custom size and colors (for a friend's wedding). They fit well, don't leak and are soft. I already know these are going to last longer than my diapers with velcro (which are already pilling). Shannon is friendly, personable and answers all of your questions. I have another wedding coming up and will be using her again. Custom is the ONLY way to go.

I was sent to Shannon because I was looking for an embroidered Care Bear diaper. I contacted her and we went from there. I ended up spending more than I wanted but it was so well worth it in the end! The communication with Shannon was the best I have had with any company, EVER! She found a design and worked with me on what I was wanting. I actually received the diaper a lot faster than I imagined too. As soon as I came home from the post office, I put it in the wash...and then of course HAD to put it on my daughter! The fit was amazing! The absorbency was better than most of the other diapers I already have. It was actually the first diaper that I haven't gotten used. I found a few more GAD's on diaperswappers and HAD to have them. They are by far my favorite diapers! I will recommend these to anyone and everyone!! Thanks so much Shannon!! You are the best!!

The colors are absolutely adorable. They are really high quality. The customer service was excellent when we had a little snap problem.
We like how the seam is on the inside - I think it helps prevent leaks.
They are very narrow and so you can't use just any insert - loopy-dos do work though.
Unfortunately they are not fitting so well on our chunky thighed babe. He is in size large, near the bottom of the weight range, and on the biggest leg snap they are droopy in the crotch and still leave red marks on his thighs. Maybe on another baby they would fit better, or maybe they will fit better when he gets taller and wider (assuming his thighs don't get any thicker).

These are incredible pockets. I was a little skeptical about trying them with a baby who had very running bf poo as these were pretty much my first experience with CDs. Well, lo and behold, the first time I put them on, he has a runny bm (a big one), not a single leak. I really like the fit and how trim they are. With one of the GAD inserts, they are really only a little bulkier than a disposable. Shannon is incredibly nice and makes the whole experience. Also gotta love all the cute colors.

I love the trimness of this diaper and can see how it would fit others babies really well, but it did not fit my skinny LO very well at all. I bought both a medium large and a large to try with him and neither of them have ever been tight around his legs even at the tightest settings. The large is just starting to fit him at 35lbs, so I passed it on to another Mama to try. I use the GADanimal under wool at night just because it is so dang cute, but I don't trust it without wool because it is so loose around his legs.

I bought this diaper because of all the great reviews, and was really excited to try it. But I guess my expectations were too high cause I was really dissapointed.
I must say that the quality is great, and I like the side snaps, but thats about it, and haven't had leaks except for a blowout once.
I think this diaper needs to have some sort of leg trim or gusset, something like that...so it can contain poopy messes better, I don't like how the fleece of the inside rolls outside of the diaper. I also find the opening small and hard to stuff, and I find the insert gets bunched up (i have the reccomended insert)The crotch for me is a little too narrow, but i can see how it would work for a chubby legged baby.
For me, I have much better pocket diapers for the price....sorry

You know, I really gotta hand it to GADs. I just started using them and I the more I use them the more I love them. They really don't leak, and the sizing is great in that the larges should fit my 10 month old until she potty trains. Now that's pretty good! The colors are ADORABLE! I love the side snapping and how there is nothing touching baby's skin but softness. The fleece has pilled just a little with washing, but I was told that this is normal. It hasn't gotten any worse and overall is still quite soft. The fleece washes out beautifully. They are very easy to stuff (I use the GAD hemp inserts, which are great). I use my GADs at night with the GAD hemp insert and one Joey Bunz premium hemp insert. No leaks - works like a charm. I was initially worried about marks from the elastic, but I started snapping the upper waist snaps differently - I use the smallest setting on one side and the middle snap on the other side. This seems to have resolved the issue and the marks seem just ""normal""/minimal now. One side note - the only time I had a leak with a GAD was when I used a different insert. I think if you buy this diaper you should probably plan to use the GAD hemp inserts. Also, I don't really think the GADs are trim fitting on my daughter at this point, though they're not real bulky either. You just need to realize that they are sized generously (which is GREAT!!) - so initially, they may not fit as trimly. My daughter is just barely into a large and there is a bit of extra ""fluff"" at this point.
I have tried several types of cloth diapers, and I think this will be my exclusive cloth diaper if I have a next child! I don't think you'll be disappointed if you decide to go with GADs. It is definitely my #1 pick when it comes to pocket diapers! You'll find cloth diapering to be a cinch with these.

The side snapping pocket gives for a great fit and I love all the color combinations. I stuff mine with a micro and hemp and my daughters diaper is still trim and good to go for several hours if need be.
Now we are using the AIO's and bamboo fitteds too. Gotta love GADs.

I recently bought my first GAD along with a few bG's, and am now wishing I had bought all GAD's. They are way more trim and more reliable than the bG's. My baby has small thighs and a big belly, the two rows of snaps make it easy to adjust for her size. I bought mediums and my baby 4 1/2 month old is 13 lbs, I just read that someone is still using mediums on a 25 lber...It is almost like a OS.
Thanks Shannon...I just ordered two more.

I bought my first GAD about a month ago from FSOT. And fell in LOVE. I had to order more! The fit is perfect! My DD is a long one and I love that these diapers come in a size long. I also love the elastic in the front- it just seems so much more comfortable for my baby, she is free to move and stretch and the diaper will move with her-Brilliant!
I have not had a SINGLE leak with these diapers. With my other pocket diapers if I'm not on top of things and changing her right away (which tends to happen with 3 LOs at home!) they can sometimes leak a little at the legs. . . but not my GAD. Probably due to the great fit. :-) I plan on making these the majority of my stash.

I wish I had tried this diaper when I was first building my diaper stash. My oldest child is very slender and so it is sometimes difficult to find a diaper that is not too wide in the crotch.
Megan at PamperedBuns kept telling me to give it a try. After listening to her tell me this for MONTHS I FINALLY bought one from her. WOW! What a great diaper. There is no wing droop because of the side snaps, the pocket is big enough for me to get my hand in to make sure the inserts aren't bunching up, and I've never had a leak.
I was really excited when I got my two new ones in the mail yesterday.
And the customer service that Megan (Pampered Buns) gives you is so great, and Shannon (the owner and designer of Green Acre Designs) is super nice and sweet.
If you like pocket diapers, and ESPECIALLY if you have a skinny child and can't find a trim diaper.... this is the dia per for you!!!!

This is my second review for GADs, which is fair since I am using them for a second round of cloth diapers with a new baby. I am a very frugal person by nature, and can sew quite well. I made all my new baby's cloth diapers myself, but once again, as my baby got to the walking stage, I turned to my old reliable, never fails me, Green Acre Designs diapers. They are simply that good, and worth the money. The fit is incredible and the workmanship rivals any diaper on the market today. Shannon is not a fly by night, hobbyist diaper maker. She has a top notch quality product, with SO many options for all different fits of babies. When I used them with my son, a tall skinny baby, she didn't have the sizing she had now so I used larges. Now with my daughter, I tried the medium-long diapers and both my larges and medium longs give an incredible, trim, perfectly shaped fit. I didn't think it was possible to be impressed all over again, but I am :) These are the best diapers I have ever used, seen, tried and spent money on!

These diapers are amazing. I can't say enough great things about them! The craftwomanship is superb, the overall quality of the materials is outstanding, the side-snap design not only creates a finished look but it also keeps curious little fingers from unsnapping them.
I love the variety of color combinations, and love that the fleece inner isn't white and therefore doesn't show stains! I've never had these diapers wick or leak, no matter how soaked the insert and with a water-guzzling 19mo, they end up very soaked sometimes. I don't find them to be any trimmer than my FBs or bGs, but I have no complaints about trimness from any diaper I own.
You can't beat the price: $15.95 for in stock items or $17.95 for customs. It's a great bargain compared to bGs, HHs or FBs (new or old), especially considering the quality.
I wish I would've listened to my friend and bought all GADs instead of wasting money on OS bGs, FBs and OS HHs. I can find problems with all of my other diapers, from wicking, leaking, not containing poop, etc, but I CANNOT find a single thing to complain about with my GADs.

We purchased this diaper when my son was 7 months old. He still had lots of baby fat, so his thighs were large, but his waist was rather small. We primarily used Bum Genius, but the thighs were getting too tight. We tried this diaper to see if it would provide a better fit.
This diaper is shaped like the Swaddlebees, so it is a really nice trim diaper. It is sized larger than the Swaddlebees. I really like this diaper. It is easy to use, poop easily falls off the fleece and the insert is easy to pull out. We do get some leaks around the snaps, if our son is laying down. If the outer fabric gets ####ed into the crotch, we can get some serious leaks.

We've been using these exclusively for over a year, and they are FABULOUS. They fit much, much better than the one-sized diapers we've tried, but the fit is adjustable enough that one size can last a long time. My son started wearing Medium Longs at 4.5 months, when he was 16 lbs & about 27 inches, & he just moved onto the Larges this month (17 months, 27 lbs, 34 inches). They've held up well in the wash; some of the elastic has slackened, but it's still quite functional & I'll definitely be able to use them with another kid (even after a year's hard use). We've only had a few pee leaks (when he was little & we weren't stuffing them enough) & no blowouts. They don't work for us overnight, but these are trim, durable, super-cute diapers that your kid can wear for a long time.

I LOVE GAD pockets. I bought one single used GAD in medium and it fit my little boy so well that I ordered 6 brand new husky mediums right away. The husky medium is awsome for babies with short but hubby legs and a little belly. On the medium we would be on the middle snap- in the husky medium we can use the smallest setting now - so they are going to last a long time !
The quality is amazing and the fit is so nice and trim. They are built to last and wash up very well! I am using GAD hemp one size inserts or cotton babies one size mf or even a no name hemp stuffer and we never have any leaks!
And the colors are so cute! These diapers are my favourite snap diapers. If my husband would not prefere velcro I'd replace my entire stash with GAD

The more I learn about sewing, the more I am regretting not buying more of these for my stock. These are the most well made we've seen. Such care is taken in making these diapers -- down to the zig-zag stitching on the elastic (which makes it stronger). No leaks. I have used both Shannon's GAD inserts, and a hemp fleece prefold.
My only complaint is the inside pocket opening doesn't keep its shape. It ends up round (more like a hole), and a good bit of the insert shows which can be annoying since we end up having to clean so much poop off of a diaper and an insert. Now, we bought this one almost 2 years ago, they may have improved since then.

I LOVE these diapers! They have such a soft liner and I adore the side snaps. They are easy to stuff with a generous opening. I wish they had a wider variety of color combinations though. I have never had a leak with these diapers and I love the soft leg openings that never leave marks on my baby's chunky thighs. I actually prefer the Loopy-Do inserts in these to the GADs inserts. My baby is not a heavy wetter and I can make the GADs diaper MUCH trimmer with a loopy-Do than with the Gad insert. I have been very happy with the customer service also. My only complaint is how addictive they are :)

We haven't had these diapers long but they are already a firm favourite. I came across them when trying to find an alternative to swaddlebees. I like swaddlebees side snap style but find stuffing them a pain, they are so narrow its really restricting. Gads provide a similar fit but will take any of the inserts in my stash which is a big bonus and my husband can get his hand in the nappy to stuff them too.
The sizing is generous. I have a very long heavy wetting 6month old who fits the Medium Long really but being really long we can get away with the Large too. They do look a little big due to the Large insert being a little bit too much for him really, but do effectively fit him on the leg and waist on the smallest poppers due to the really nice soft springy elastication. Results in no leaks so am happy. We can get away with it which saves me money and buying more sizes. I have very tall kids so hopefully they will see us through to potty training. Wouldn't recommend upsizing as much as we have to everyone but really glad that the sizes have a good margin on them.
Would definitely recommend them. The stitching and workmanship are excellent and as I would make myself, lots of care is obviously paid to quality.
We are going to order more.

I was so pleased to find this pocket diaper at Wildflower Diapers - no waiting! I have heard and read great things about this pocket and have really been wanting to try it out, but I am not the stalking sort.
The fit is just fabulous and it is so trim. The elastic is very gentle and stretchy. Love all the color combinations. love the front elastic!

How do I begin...
this diaper ROCKS my son's bottom! LOL! I have tried EVERY diaper under the sun. He's a tall slim kid, and the larges fit him to a ""T""!!! I love that it doesn't leave angry red lines on his body, and it fits nice & trim. I am amazed at the gorgeous look & quality of this diaper.
Shannon deserves her wonderful reputation. She has been SO helpful in answering my questions, and I really appreciate her thoughtfulness. YAY FOR GAD's!!!!

I've bought a medium GADimal, medium GADs PUL pocket, and GADs inserts after reading the reviews here. I love them! very trim fitting and look & work great on my babies. They cant open their GADs because of the snaps(They love to undo the velcro on their other CDs..sigh..). Both of the microfiber and hemp inserts are also great! The design makes the inserts easier to clean and faster to dry. Unfortunately, DD cant fit into mediums anymore, so I am waiting for my Large Custom GAD :).Shannon also has excellent customer service just like the other reviewers said.

I really wanted to like this diaper. I was so excited when I read the reviews and looked at all of the different color options. I opted for the basic colors rather than the adorable monogrammed just because of the price difference. However, I have been extremely disappointed with the 3 diapers that I ordered. Each of the three diapers leaks EVERY time that my 18 pound, 7 1/2 month old son wears them. I ordered the medium-longs expecting that they would last for a long time and he was already on the second row of snaps when he wore them the first time.
One major positive to this diaper (and the only reason I didn't give the diaper a 1) is the helpfulness that I received from Shannon. She offered to sew something to try and help with the leaks, but I would be responsible for the shipping. I am currently trying to weigh my options as to whether it would be worth it to have this done taking into account the shipping costs. I also have 6 BumGenius and 1 HuggaBuns and both of those kinds of diapers work great! Perhaps it is just the way that my son is shaped that causes leaks in this diaper?

JenaeC was not using the recommended insert and her diapers were not leaking until they had been used for 2-3 hours. I offered to sell her one of my inserts at a discounted price with free shipping, and I let her know that she should try using a hemp doubler along with the insert.
Ideally all diapers should be changed every 2 hours, but we don't always have that kind of time. So, if you know your baby is a heavy wetter, then it is a good idea to add more absorbency to the diaper if you plan on leaving it on your baby for more than 2-3 hours.

I just purchased what will probably be my last diaper from Shannon. And I am so sad. These have been my favorite diapers of all time. I have tried several kinds, but there is nothing like a GAD. I have been using these diapers for all 3 of my children and they stand up to the test of time. I have been very impressed with how well these diapers hold up!! Shannon provides amazing customer service. She is kind and honest and one of the best people to work with anywhere you look.

I bought 2 of these used off of DiaperSwappers. What hooked me was the adorable embroidery on both of the dipes. These dipes fit both my son and daughter well. Both of my children are somewhat slim. I like how they are trim and easy to stuff (not as trim as swaddlebees but much easier to stuff). I would love to buy some brand new but they are a bit above what I budget for diapers. Overall- I really like this dipe and would recommend to anyone to give the a shot.

Shannon at GAD is amazing! Even if she made a bad diaper i'd still give her a good rating based on her customer service. However, her diaprs really are great. We ordered one with bamboo velour inner and we had problems with it, she offered me suggestions and when they didn't work she let me send it back to have it altered. Since then it has been WONDERFUL! It's such a cute, trim diaper and it works great. i love it. i can't wait until she gets more larges in stock then i'll be ordering more!

I am so glad I finally bought some of Shannon's GAD's! Cloth diapering the twins has been the best decision I ever made and purchasing some of Shannon's dipes is a close second!! Shannon is great to work with and customer service is her number one priority. I was having trouble with the first two dipes I ordered and after talking to her, we decided to switch my next order to Medium Longs and she even sent me a FREE hemp doubler to try out and remedy the issues I was having with my Mediums. I would recommend (and have recommended) these dipes to anyone thinking about cloth diapering. They are super easy to use and contain poo with not trouble at all!

I purchased my first GAD two months ago. I loved it! I don't use that many diapers because we do EC. I tried to find good training pants, but did not have any luck. I came across the GAD's and decided to try one of those. I loved it. The fabric is beautiful and it is trim and absorbant.
I loved it so much that I sold off some of my other diapers and purchased a new diaper for our son's first birthday. This time we chose to get a dragon design on the back. It is PERFECT! Beautiful in every way. Shannon even threw in a special gift! She is great! Thanks!

I LOVE our GADs!! I purchased a few to try after reading reviews here and they have become my favorite diaper. The Mediums fit my one year old, 16 lb skinny minny perfectly. Never had a leak. I love the fact that there is elastic all around the legs, and the quality of both the fleece and PUL seem wonderful so far. Cute colors to choose from too. We've used old style FBs, Blueberry front snaps, Snap EZs, and BGs one size, and we've tried Haute Pockets, Baby Kangas, Knickernappies, and Berry Plush. These GADs are the best for us. I just ordered another half dozen. And, the hemp inserts are terrific - very absorbant and the clever design means they aren't too bulky.

This is my FAVORITE pocket diaper. My little man has some very chunky legs (they call him the Michelin baby), and my GAD Limited Edition with bamboo velour lining fits him great! This diaper contains messes very well for my 8-month-old, exclusively breastfed baby. They're a bit on the pricey side for my budget, which is why we only have one, but I'm so glad I went out on a limb and splurged for this diaper! Just stuff a hemp insert with extra stuffins, and you've got a fantastic diaper for an extended outing or car ride, a nap, or even for overnight!
My one and only complaint, which is the reason why I couldn't quite give the GAD pocket diaper a perfect score, is that after washing and using it for a few weeks (according to the manufacturer's instructions), the bamboo velour lining has detached from around the snaps. Consequently, it's kind of a pain when I'm trying to get it on my squirmy little guy. That aside, this diaper is amazing.

I am unsure how to edit old reviews so I'll post a new one for my daughter and my experience since the original review with Green Acre Designs was posted. The first time around I had problems with my son and GADs (the review is below). Shannon contacted me after I wrote that review and offered to send me a diaper for free if I covered the shipping on it so my infant daughter could try it (how nice is that?!?). Shannon also explained they had a new exclusive manufacturer on their fleece that had even better quality than Malden Mills. Once the diaper arrived the new quality in fleece was immediately apparent. It was so plush and super soft! It also washes up heavenly and we still haven't has any pilling. The performance on the diaper is perfect. It's been used 5 times now and we haven't had the first leak. I don't know if it's the new fleece that is making the difference or that my daughter is a middle wetter opposed to my son being a front wetter? Either way, this diaper is just fantastic! We will definitely be buying larges in this diaper when it comes time to size up for her :) I have been so impressed with Shannon's customer service!

I'm new to cloth diapering, and seem to be drawn to pocket diapers, however, the problem with a lot of pocket diapers, as most seasoned diaper users understand, is the bulk. All of the pocket diapers that I've tried have been so bulky, that he was always walking around with pants that were way too long, in order to fit the pants around the bubble butt. I almost admitted defeat, until someone told me about Shannon's diapers.
These are the most awesome diapers. They're trim, but not too trim. I wasn't really cracked on her inserts, so we actually use the Knickernappies loopy do insert and it works perfectly for us. My son is 15 months and solid. Not so much chunky anymore, but solid with thick thighs. And these are the best diaper I've found for him so far. The overall quality of these diapers is awesome and they're so soft. I'm definitely ordering more. GAD's + Loopy Do = trim and absorbent.

I absolutely love these diapers. They are trim and very absorbant. I put this diaper on when I know we are going to be out and about and won't be able to change a diaper for a while. I have tried to make this diaper leak and it refuses. I don't recommend leaving a diaper on for more than about 2 hrs, but when I know it will be hard to change it within that amount of time, this is the one I reach for. I just wish I had found them sooner. I love this diaper so much that I carry it in my store and tell everyone how great they are. Great job Shannon!

I am loving these diapers so far and quite pleased with how well they hold up and how trim they are. I took the websites advice where I purchased them and tried them as a cover too. They work well and have a nice fit for a cover. Plus I like being able to use a prefold underneath and then use the Green Acre's pocket for an extra insert if needed.
It is nice to have two uses out of them.
