I really wanted to try flats, but pinning made me nervous. I tried it with a snappi first, and it was great! Once I was used to folding and getting the flat in place on DS, I felt confident with pins too. Now I use both equally. The snappi is super fast and easy for the times I am in a hurry or just plain lazy. I've never had a problem with it coming undone. I also prefer it for one fold I use sometimes. You do have to be sure there is enough fabric for it to grab without going through to the skin though.
I do think that you need to use them with caution once your baby gets curious and/or mobile. Under a cover (which is the only way you're really supposed to use them), they are fine, but my guy will grab at it if he's not covered. I could also see how a toddler might get to it in spite of a cover.
Still, I love them, and I would absolutely recommend them...especially to anyone apprehensive about pins or using flats/prefolds.

When deciding to do prefolds, I did not know of the snappi option and was delighted when shown the product. I love the concept, and I do use it, (it is just so easy!) however, with caution! I have noticed after my sister’s observation that it looked a bit uncomfortable on my baby boy, that the centre bottom tightening can put pressure on his “main area”. This seems especially true when he is sitting upright and his chubby tummy and chunky thighs works together to position it just so. The snappy does need to be tight enough to be effective. I would still highly recommend it (as it could just be my son’s build) but would caution parents to check this especially with boys.

I know people think the Snappi is the best thing next to sliced bread but I just dont like it. There has been several occasions where my baby has taken it off and a couple of times he has been scratched. I guess I'm just old fashioned by using pins and liking it. Snapppi is a great idea and it works for most but not me and my baby.

There is NO way I would have tried prefolds if I had to use pins! I also use the bikini twist fold with my son and the snappi keeps the prefold in place wonderfully!

I do not like using the snappi because if you do not have a thick enough diaper on your baby they actually stick thru the diaper and hurt my baby. It broke my heart when I realized my little girl was saying it hurt and pointing at her diaper and I realized the pain was coming from the snappi I had put on her. They do work okay on a thicker hemp or bamboo diaper, kind of a pain to get on it tho, thanks I'll stick with my pins I can always trust that no matter how my baby wiggles and twists the pins will always stay where I put them and not ever hurt her.

These are so great. I love not having to learn the art of pinnig (more power to those of you that do!). This is so nice to have!! I kept one in the diaper bag and a few at home. Not that I ever used more than one at a time, but they worked so great that I never wanted to be caught without one. I used them with flats, and they worked great.

Snappi is a very inventive idea. Well-made, colorful and ingenius. I still prefer using pins, but that's probably just because I used them for almost 8 years before I tried the Snappi diaper fastener. It's great that Snappi makes a toddler size too. Very handy and easy to use.

We don't actually bother with a Snappi most of the time, but when I use it it is great. I use pins a lot, but my little girl is still tiny enough that she can't get away during a diaper change even if she tries. Most of the time we just use a prefold and snug cover such as Thirsties or Bummis. When we use a Sheepish Grins wool cover or a Stacinator So Simple, we use the Snappi. The Snappis hold her diapers on very well and are fast to put on. My guess is that we'll use them more as she starts to crawl. I sell Snappis.

We wanted to try Snappis since we were nervous about using pins with prefolds. Got a set of 4. We used them for a month or so until I realized why my son was anxiety-fussing so much. After using the Snappis per package instructions, I found that the grabby things that keep the diaper together and on the baby actually grab at the baby's skin if the diaper isn't perfectly layered under the Snappi. So, if you're in a rush, out of the house, whatever and trying to do a *quick* diaper change the Snappi just might dig into your little one's skin. The item was not defective and the supplier was certainly not at fault, and we were using them according to package instructions. They just don't work for us.

This is the most awesome thing ever invented. I've had the same snappi for nine months and have yet to have to replace it. My hubby actually changes my daughter now because the snappi is so much easier for him to use than diaper pins. I love this product and would say it is a must to have.

This is an amazing invention. It is so much better than pins. It is simple and easy to use, even in the middle of the night when you are half asleep. The crew at Wildflower diapers also gives a great demo on how to use them with a prefold; even to walk you through some practice tries of your own!

I bought a couple of these and have used them about 3 weeks now on my 1 & 3 year old boys. They are great! I am a die hard pin fan, but the bigger the baby the harder to pin the diaper! I would definately advise to buy the larger size for toddlers though as the snappy tends to be a little small for my 3 year old who wears them at night. I complains that it hurts his hip bones, so I will definately pick up the bigger sized ones at Nikki's diapers. I bought each of my boys their own color and they are quite possessive of their ""snapper"" as they call them!

this worked great until my son got too active during diaper changes, we had to retire it when his leg thrashing made the teeth a hazard. luckily, by the time he was this active, his poos were so reliable and past the peanut-butter stage (sorry) that we could just lay prefolds in the velcro cover with no fastener. so it was great for newborn to about 11 months, then he outgrew it and we were okay with that.

The thought of using sharp pins, which could come aloose and poke my baby's kissable little belly made me pale. I had never heard of Snappis until I started researching CD. I love my Snappi! It doesn't come undone and poke my baby. It makes CD so easy. My mother was amaze at the Snappi (I was born 6 years before it was invented) and said she wishes that it had been available back then. This is one of the great modern inventions of all time.
