I have no idea why people are paying $40 for these diapers, they must be buying marked-up prints on Spots. These diapers cost $28-$33 on the goodmama website. The only $40 ones are one sold in the special sets and really unless you have the cash for it there is no reason to buy the more expensive ones which are not the norm. In fact my favorite most useful goodmama is the $28 ONE which has the hidden waterproof layer which makes it an AIO. I have 7 of them in the minky ""Polka One"" print and totally adore them. The stretchiness allows me to get a perfect fit on my chunky 3 month old.

Goodmama sells plain OBV's which are nice and stretchy, with a colored serging. They also sell ""prints"" in woven and knits. The knits are more stretchy and seem to be easier to ""fit"" on different sized babies. The woven's are super popular because of the cute prints they come in, not for better functionality and are in fact less stretchy and seem smaller. What's important to you? A cute print or a better fit?

I've learned after 2 months of use that the sergered kind fit my daughter better then the T&T (turned) type. I've been told T&T often fit older children better so I will keep the prints I have, and store them away for later use, ironically my T&T seem to be mostly wovens, adding to it not being as stretchy.

I ADORE the sergered diapers, and the minky ONES. They are fantastic and worth every penny. They do need to be washed about 5 times as others have said. I use them right away and just watch for leaks, and by the 4th or 5th wear there are none unless I leave it on too long.

I've been watching for sales and I've gotten a lot of great deals on the GM website and paid as low as $20 for a new diaper (30% discount and free shipping). So if you want to try GM, either A) wait for some NIP $15 ones on spots, or just watch the GM website for a good sale. If you are patient and take advantage of a sale you will not have to pay so much. Sup

I love my goodmamas! I've bought other diapers but nothing compare to the amazing fit. I have purchased approximately 75 diapers and have NEVER had 1 issue with quality, snaps, custom service, etc. Everything has been perfect. Yes, there has been the occasional prints that didn't wear great but that's unavoidable and does not affect the superb performance. I have used the knits, wovens, serged, turned, goodnights and ones and I rate them all a 5.

I tried many diapers before I found Goodmama. Each one I had problems with, fit, absorbancy, too long to dry etc. The fit of Goodmama was amazing! I have tiny babies and there was no gapping or issues with the fit at at. The absorbancy was even more amazing. No leaks! They dry in 1 cycle. Even 2 1/2 yrs later the fit is still amazing and the absorbancy has continued to be excellent. I highly recommend Goodmama Diapers!!

I LOVE, love, love my Goodmamas! They are the best fitted I have tried so far and I am sooo happy! I have tried a bunch of other fitteds and these are the only ones that my son can wear coverless and not soak. Not only that but he can also wear them at night with only a small doubler. They are soft, cute, absorbant and I keep finding deals on them all over the net. Yes there are some problems with the snaps, but if you buy them from Goodmama, they will fix it for free and pay shipping. Actually they will fix it for free no matter what, you just have to pay shipping if you bought elsewhere. They have awesome customer service! I would recommend trying a Goodmama to anyone!

I used to be a huge Goodmama fan. My stash was ridiculously large full of Goodmamas- I loved them that much. Quality really started to take a turn for the worst with snaps that couldn't stay on and the fabrics were less than desireable in quality. One diaper got holes in the fabric within 5 washings because the fabric they choose was incredibly thin (it was one of those tissue fabrics- not suitable at all for a diaper). For $35 they better be absolutely perfect and unfortunately they are not. I also have had horrible dealings with the company and customer service and have since stopped buying from the company. There are way better fitted diapers with great prints out there with customer service that actually cares.

I do like the idea of these diapers and I was so stoked to get my first one.
The print is so faded, its really quite disappointing. Im also irritated that the soaker is all shrunk and the fabric is wrinkled and wonky.
For the most part the diaper functions great. Just the little things that bother you when you realize how much they cost.
Ive acquired others used and i still love fitteds. Im tempted to buy more new GMs but Im worried about how they will hold up. For the money you can support some awesome WAHMs who make a comparable if not better product.

We started off cloth diapering not knowing what to expect. I had originally bought several types of diapers, trying to find the one that worked for us. As weeks went by we found ourselves using the goodmama's more and more, until one day, we found we were using them exclusively. They are super soft, absorbent, they never leak, and they have such cute prints to pick from! They are also very easy to use. Just snap it on. The best part is the adjustable snaps, that make the diaper usable from a newborn, all the way to a toddler. I highly recommend them to anyone that is considering cloth diapers.

I'll admit, when I got my first goodmama, the old soaker style red velour with hemp, I didn't like them much. They didn't seem absorbent (but I was comparing them to AIOs and pockets at the time). Then goodmama released the longer soaker, the one that didn't shrink to be too short for my little man. And they changed the core to a super absorbent bamboo fleece. My son can go 8-15 hours without wetting through to the outside. He sleeps in a single goodmama, with no extras, coverless. No problems. And now that they have a cotton velour option? Well, they are even MORE absorbent. I'm so happy that goodmamas will fit my son until he potty learns, and then they will be around for the next baby.

I absolutely love my goodmamas. They are the most absorbent fitted we have tried. We tried all the other comparable brands and either the fit was not great or the absorbancy was not great. Once we tried goodmamas and even my husband liked them we switched over to an all GM stash minus pockets for night. These diapers are truly a one size diaper. My 8 month old AND my 3 year old (she is potty trained though) can fit into these diapers! These diapers hold up great. I have bought brand new and used. I have had a few snaps break but you email customer service and they are wonderful and have you send back the diaper to fix the snap :) CS is excellent and I don't see how all these people have horrible stories about them. I even emailed CS a few times to make sure an order went through or something and they were really nice and patient!
I would absolutely recommend these to a friend!

We bought our first 3 GM's used and our last 3 during the buy 2 get 1 free sale. We purchased them all within 3 weeks of each other. These diapers are okay. My daughter wets through them within an hour (even after being recently stripped) My used ones were in better shape than my new ones. I had snap issues and had to send it back in and the print faded badly. I had to cover my own shipping costs to have the snap on the soaker. Since then I've tried many similar fitteds by WAHMs and find the quality is better than a GM. I love the GM prints and I'm not saying I will never buy another one but I would never pay more than $25 for one.

I used to love Goodmamas and bought in to all of the hype but after getting several diapers that had multiple issues like the OBV bunching up, the print outer would sag or wrinkle, and the serging would have flaws in it I can honestly say that I am over the Goodmama hype and do not plan to buy anymore. I sold off most of mine because I didn't like the way they fit anymore and the problems I stated above just made me even madder that I paid soo much for these diapers and they are of sub-par quality.

I find it so strange that reviewers would give this diaper a 5. I would give it a 0 if I could. I liked the print, read the hype, paid through the nose for 1 diaper. I have not had the horror stories of broken snaps, wearing issues and bad customer service that other users have had simply because I did not use this long enough for it to break. Its in the back of a deep dark closet and will never see the light again. I wouldn't even resell it to a stranger. I don't understand at all how anyone can say its a great diaper

I followed all the washing instructions to increase absorbency but it leaks, lost its cozy softness and overall is a terrible diaper. My son fussed everytime he wore this diaper because he was saturated. There are so many great diapers out there that are more efficient and cost effective. This style may work for some, however, they are not worth the price.

I really want to love these diapers.. and while they usually function well, I have had more issues with broken snaps lately than I care to deal with. I have paid out of pocket 2 times now to ship diapers back for new snaps.. and I have another that needs every single snap replaced. Why? The person they had putting these things together apparently cannot place a snap to save their lives. The entire diaper is unusable because of how uncentered the snaps are.. They're in line but the middle parts are either very crooked or are mushed. So after emailing them to complain, I was told I could ship the diaper to them to have the snaps repaired. Yes, at my expense. This was after the whole hoopla over the SYOF diapers (which this one is) being able to be refunded. I don't want a gift certificate.. I'd like for the item I paid 35 dollars for to arrive in functioning condition thanks! No, I don't want to pay out of pocket to have the snaps repaired. This diaper was 39.11 with the shipping.. so another 2.50+ for shipping + 1.70 insurance brings my total to over 43 dollars for one diaper. I will never purchase another goodmama diaper simply because the quality control is very poor. The customer service is copy and paste messages so it seems.. I just don't feel they're worth 35 dollars, especially when competitive brands work even better, cost much less, product comes in satisfactory condition and the customer service *gasp* is friendly.. Shocking, I know!

I'm finally getting around to writing this review. I've been a fanatic goodmama mama for over a year now. Before I discovered goodmamas, I tried dozens of other diapers (fitteds, pockets, flats, pfs, AIOs). My only regret is that I didn't discover goodmamas sooner. Goodmamas now make up the majority of our stash and we love them. I love that I can still get a fantastic fit with the same diaper I bought 13 months ago. The prints are adorable. The OBVs/switched are amazingly absorbant, great for naps and bedtime. The new diapers with c/p inners are so cute! I've *always* had wonderful experience with goodmama Customer Service. And I'm proud to be a supporter of this WAHM gone small business and to have watched her grow. I just cannot say enough good things about GM. I will be so sad when our cd'ing days are over. I may just need to move to Utah and work for the company! LOL!

As much as I want to love these diapers, they are horrible. The snaps have come off of 5 of the 7 I have. The snap placment varies on several of them and the prints have not held up well over time. The customer service is pretty much non existent. When one of my brnad new diapes had snaps missing I was told I could pay to ship it to them and they would repair it. I had not ever washed it yet, the msiing snaps were obvious as soon as I opened the package (which came direct from GM). I went ahead and shipped it back adding $5.00 bucks to the cost of the diaper now and it took them a month to add the missing snaps and return it to me. I did not even get an apology!

I LOVE these diapers! They are not only cute but super absorbant! While it is true they get a little less silky, if you use ecover fabric softener as recommended they do stay really soft! I am totally addicted! They are too expensive for diapers but I got mine during the sale and then bought some used and I love to let my little girl go coverless in these cute dipes around the house and then cover them up if we go anywhere. The snaps and surging have never bothered my DD's skin and she has pretty sensitive skin.

I loved these diapers for the prints , but absorbancy is only so/so . My DS can pee through one in matter of minutes. After washing them the soakers got all funky , clearly all materials were not preshrunk. Serging cause horrible issues and CS is bottom of the line. I ordered from her big sale , recieved all but 2 dipes , and those two were subbed with completely different dipe ( which I already had ) , I was not emailed about any oversells , and not offered a refund nor my choice for an exchange. Also my friend ordered the same dipes an hour later and recieved them . Overall , bad CS , not great absorbancy , pricey , and workmanship lacks.

I bought 3 during the sale and they are great great diapers! I so I used to laugh at you mamas that spend so much on your good mamas! Seriously me and DH would say ""you know what they are going to do in them, right?' I had no idea. The sale caused me to try them since they were more affordable.I thought I would probably end up selling these to gt my money back from my momentary weakness when I bought them... But OMG! That woman is a genius. She has thought of everything! Not only adorable & unbelievably soft, but very versatile too. Finally a true one size diaper that can move the soaker where your kid needs it. And for my heavy heavy wetter I can tuck the back soaker up in to the front one like a perfect pocket of extra coverage where he needs it. He is big too so the sizing is generous!

I also was very intrigued by this diaper and wanted to try it. In general it is ok. It is absorbant, seems like it would fit a wide size range and cute. The snaps really bother my daughter though, I'm thinking they may not when she gets older but right now I can only use it at night while she's laying out flat, if she is rolling around on the floor it irritates her. Also, we've only used it 3 times and washed it 4 and I can already tell that the softness is going. When I pay that much for a diaper I really expect it to look nice for a long time.

I probably won't buy anymore of these unless the price drops drastically.

Had to see what all the fuss was about. Stalked the site for weeks trying to get one. Finally got it. Not that impressed. It is very similar to other diapers made before she was in business, so I don't think it is all that unique (though I've been in the cloth diapering world long enough now that it is pretty hard to impress me with a truly new idea). I've had no serious quality issues, but the washing routine recommended is excessive. It takes a long time to dry. For this much money I would expect hidden snaps. Just not feeling the love here.

You can't get any cuter than this diaper and they are so soft and absorbent! I still use the fold down option because my DD is still small, so I don't have the issue of the snaps rubbing on her tummy. I REALLY wanted to love these diapers. And they did work well for awhile. However, the serging leaves horrible red marks and a rash on my daughter's thighs and tummy. I thought it may be a problem with my detergent or something, but after a few days in sposies and the rash getting better, I put dd back in her PF's and she's fine.

They fit her great, and I love the prints. They are also pretty absorbent after they're broken in. However, out of the 7 that I owned 2 have snap issues. One is even a repeat offender. I have sold all but 2 so far and haven't even made a third of what I paid for them, which is very disappointing and makes it difficult to replace them. As other people have mentioned, the soakers wash up wonky. The prints fade and pill really badly and need to be shaved with a fabric shaver. I am so upset.

I don't recommend these diapers unless you know your child isn't sensitive to serged diapers. I'm going back to pockets at night now.

As others have posted, when I first tried this diaper on my LO, I was in love. They had adorable prints and were wonderfully soft and absorbent. I liked them so much that in total I bought 25 of them either on Spots or more recently on the goodmama site. Many of the ones I purchased off the goodmama site arrived with broken snaps. Some also had issues with serging and other minor cosmetic issues. I emailed goodmama about this and received horrible customer service. Most of the time I was told that these issues were normal and to be expected. Only in my last communication with them did they finally admit that they were experiencing growing pains. Out of 25 diapers purchased, about half had some sort of issue, and about 6-7 had broken snaps.

Unfortunately, they do not stay soft, they become like sherpa. They are quite bulky on a smaller baby and leave snap marks on their skin when not using the fold down rise. But the worst part for my LO is the serging. It now gives him horrible rashes where the serging on the soaker rubs the belly and where the serging rubs the thighs. And I mean bad burn like rashes as soon as I use more than one GM per day (I change his diaper at least every 1-2 hours). They worked great in the beginning as I was only using 1-2 every once in a while, but the rashes began when I started using them almost exclusively. I'm now in the process of selling them all. I haven't had this issue with other diapers, even serged ones, not sure what it is about the serging they use, but it does seem somewhat thicker than most others. Overall I just can't recommend this diaper when there are so many other great ones out there and the customer service from most shops/wahms is excellent.

These diapers had a lot to live up to with all the hype. We currently use breezy babies diapers and love them but I needed something easy for my kids to change baby and went for these because of the raves. I must agree with others in that they don't stay soft and they shrink.
I don't think they are a bad diaper, and to have a few for back up is great....but the kicker was when I ordered 3 and got a rejection notice that one of the 3 was oversold and I wasn't chosen to get one of them...I then emailed to see when it would be available again because it was the one I came to order in the first place and got no reply.

I don't quite understand the raves about this diaper. I purchased two and while the fit is alright, my soakers shrunk up to really weird sizes, the serging on both of the diapers isn't the best and last week I pulled one of them out of the dryer and the snap is broken on the soaker pad.

I've purchased better quality diapers for less money and will stick with other one sizers.

I wanted to get a GM to see what all the fuss is about. And as I thought, I was not impressed!

I bought a NIP GM from a mama on Spot's - and immediately noticed when I got it, it had 2 BROKEN SNAPS! I notified the mama, who told me that is a common problem! Who in their right mind pays $35 ea for a diaper that will more often then not have a busted snap?

Luckily, I make diapers and I have a snap press handy, so I fixed the snap and threw it in the washer. And again NOT IMPRESSED - the print pilled up and faded on the very first wash! Again, worth $35? I think not! I paid $25 and I felt taken.

I will say the fit is great. Exposed snaps don't seem to irritate my dd's skin, and she is prone to excema. The absorbancy is great too!

But the serging is starting to come undone, I have used and washed this diaper about 10 or so times. The OBV is becoming very sherpa-like. I make my own OBV fitteds with coop OBV and I can honestly say I have not had this problem - perhaps it has to do with where their OBV comes from? I was really surprised by that.

Overall, not worth the money. I think the mass-poduction of these diapers is starting to affect the quality.

I guess I will just never understand what the fuss is about!

If I were to have written this review in the first couple of months after purchase I would have given these diapers a rating of 5. That was when in the heat of summer I could put my daughter to nap in nothing but a GM and she would wake up with dry sheets. That was when the OBV was silky soft. That was when the rise on the diaper was being folded down to accomodate a 9 month old baby. Along came the cool September days when just a GM wouldn't do, they needed a cover, we threw on wool longies and the size of the diaper bum was comical. The OBV began looking and feeling like sherpa, not soft and silky even with the recommended Ecover fabric softener treatment. The areas around the snaps were wearing to nothing but mesh. Around the same time my daughter went through a growth spurt and we needed to unfold the rise, leaving a long row of exposed snaps that were leaving dark red imprints on her belly...so, although I love the concept and the look and feel of this diaper, and the women behind this company are very nice, it just didn't end up being one of our household favorites after all.

I just have to say that I love, love, love the goodmamas! I was a little skeptical at first but, now I see why everyone is so crazy about these diapers. My son has very sensitive skin and he gets chafed very easily if I use PUL diapers or any thing with a waterproof cover. I put him in one of his goodmamas and voila! his chafing was gone by the next day! And the prints are so cute! My son is only 3 months old now but, I'm sure he'll love to pick out which prints are his favorite.
The good things about these daipers are that they are one size and they have a good fit even on my little guy. They are very absorbant and breathable (so much that you don't need a diaper cover on them). It does take at least 5 hot washes to get them to the point where they are super absorbant. And even though some of the softness does go away after so many washes, they are still softer than any other diaper in out stash. Also, these diapers have a really good resale-ablity. So, if there is a hot new print that you HAVE TO GET, you can just sell one or two of the old ones!
There are bad things about almost every diaper. So far, the goodmamas have the least. The bad stuff about them is that they take a little longer to dry than any of the other diapers in our stash. I often have to take all of the other diapers out of the dryer that have already dried and I dry the goodmamas a 2nd time. I don't really like that the snaps are exposed, but they have never made a single mark on my son. The price is a little high but, they are totally worth it in my eyes. We now have close to 30 goodmamas and I cant wait to get more!

This is a wonderful diaper. I was skeptical because of the hype but am now officially a huge fan. My dd is excited about the prints and I love that I was able to trim down her nighttime diaper by using an OBV with a happy hempy insert and a wool cover. I would definitely recommend these and am looking forward to only using one diaper for both of my children!

This is a really nice, soft, silky and well made diaper. I love it for night time and I like that it's a os. I don't like the price however. I see people spend up to $100 for one diaper! CRAZINESS! If they were cheaper I'd probably give them a 5. I like the Bumgenius bamboo fitted a little better.

We absolutely love these diapers. They are so pretty and soft that I almost feel bad using them! We have a 2.5 year old and another baby due in February, so I was in the market for something that I could use for both children. After reading about a zillion reviews, I decided to order a few GMs. Well, the fit is absolutely perfect on my 2.5 year old son. He absolutely LOVES wearing his goodmama diapers! They are super absorbent - especially after a few washes. We have even started using them at night with a doubler and a stacinator fleece soaker, and have gone without leaks. That's something that never happens around here. I'm a convert. Thanks goodmama!

this is a nice diaper. i love organic bamboo velour. yeah, it's never as nice as it is when it's brand new, but it's the same w/cotton velour. (the oils that make it super silky need to wash out if you want the super absorbency).
i don't love one sized diapers. this one's just got too many snaps for me. and they're exposed snaps. for the money i'd like no snap marks. i also prefer side snapping to front snapping.
also my diaper has a slight defect -- a sort of wrinkle in the back. doesn't affect functionality and i've never contacted goodmama about it (maybe they'd replace? but i just don't get the the post office much) but you know for $33 i want everything perfect and no hassles.
the bright blue thread is very pretty. i imagine the other colors are too.
i don't regret trying this diaper. it was fun to satisfy my curiousity. but i could have spent the same funds on both a large and a small of my favorite fitted.
but in the end i imagine i'll either sell it used for a good price or get plenty of use out of it myself (or perhaps both....
mine is holding up just fine w/plenty of wear.

This is a very luxurious diaper. It is so silky soft. The bamboo stretches so that you can get a great fit, especially with all the snaps. I must say that it is extremely absorbant. I often go without covers and can wait 3 hours before I change. So far, I haven't had any staining...not even with blueberry poop. My only issue is price. For me, it is difficult to justify a purchase when I can get 2 other fitted or pocket diapers for about the same price.

When I discovered my 5 month old had skin sensitivities to the materials used in pockets, I was admittedly anxious to try a Goodmama.
My overall feeling is that they are nice diapers. My personal favorite feature is the stretchy long wings. I get a perfect fit on my 2 year old and 5 month old! I also love the absobancy....I trust them during night and naptime.
But the one drawback is price. In my personal opinion, they are priced higher than they should be, given the issue bamboo valour has with getting rough over time.
Other lesser-known companies make diapers with almost identical features, for about $10 less.

We love our ""GM's"" for many reasons:

-Very Absorbent (moreso than any fitted we own)
-Great Prints and OBV color combos
-Easy fold over size-down system
-A ""true"" OS fitted - unlike many OS diapers
-Great stretch and long wings

I thought people were crazy to spend this much on a diaper and I insisted I would never buy a GM . . . but we had to try 1 and we just LOVE them (we now have 16)! I highly recommend this diaper to anyone.

I purchased this diaper just before it became the hottest diaper ever made!! I really loved it at first. But after a few months of use, just as a night diaper, it shows a lot of wear. Much more than I expected for the price.

So many people rave about these diapers being such a huge savings because they are a 'true one-size' and they 'will last for more than one child'. While they are a decent one-size design, they sure won't be of much use for a second child. The fabric will be worn through by the snaps by then.

I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy these diapers at the price they are now. I have tried many other diapers, at much better prices, and I reach for them first.

I bought 2 GMs off DS's FSOT for $25.00 each. I just had to see what all the hype was about. I got them and have been using them for a month or so. I was really impressed. They are well made, soft and squishy, and VERY absorbant...even for my heavy wetter. They are not my favorite diapers, but are a close second. I give it a 4 because they lose their softness very quickly. Now, I've never owned a new one but my used ones came pretty soft and are already getting less soft. I don't know how long they'll last because of it.

Also, I love the 3 snap adjustments. It really helps the diaper fit just right.

We absoloutly LOVE GoodMama's. They are well made and work incredibly good for our super soaker.
Also the newer style with the longer soaker is a much better match for us. Some might reason that GoodMamas are expensive but keep in mind that this is a true one size diaper that will get you all the way up to PLing. We still fold the rise over for our 30lbs heavy and 32inch tall 19 month old. If you want only the best for your baby you should consider getting some GoodMamas. They are among the best cloth diapers out there.

I have recently acquired a few of the diapers and I really like them. I have a few prints and few OBVs. The OBVs are incredibly soft. The soaker design is very nice. It is split in two and snaps in so it drys pretty quickly. The soaker is also very ""thick"" with is nice for maximum absorbancy. Surprisingly it is a pretty trim diaper too even with the thick soaker.

The diapers comes to you super silky soft, but doesn't stay that way for too long (unless you have a huge rotation), it becomes like sherpa and even scratchy with time.
The snaps left bad red marks/dips in my baby's hips.
These are not for very heavy wetters, they are very nicely constructed and a good day time diaper, and they are truly one size.
Prints fade and pill very quickly, so we stuck with OBV.

The diaper is beautifully made, but not worth $40. The print I have faded after one wash, the rise is almost too short for my one year old so I doubt it would last into PLing, and DS can only wear his for an hour before it is TOTALLY soaked and has to be taken off. Great for a light wetter, but not worth the $$ to me (especially if you spend all the money on a cute print JUST to cover it up)!

When I heard about the goodmama craze, I decided to try one off of FSOT to decide if I liked it or not. I was determined NOT to like it, because of the hype and frenzy surrounding the diapers. This diaper is only OK for me. It is really well made, nice fabric and is pretty absorbant. I am not a fan of the design of the snap system. I find the third snap (on the side) is too much and if I don't snap it in it leaves red marks in my DDs side, also i am not crazy about the exposed snaps on the inside when the diaper is in the highest setting.
Bottom line - nice diaper but not worth the $$$.
