I first purchased size 1G mediums for my 6 month old and they fit great around the legs and rise as he is on the thinner side. I see others said they used their mediums until their children were much older, but I had to upgrade to the Large 1G at around 15 months (25 lbs) as DS was becoming too tall for them. They started fitting funny/tight around the upper thigh. I also bought some Large 2G thinking they'd be similar to the 1G, and was totally WRONG. The 2G fit WAY bigger in both the rise and leg holes. I'm quite sure it would be at least 9 months or more before DS grows into the 2G. Anyway in addition to some used Large 1G's, I have a couple of customs which I ordered off Hyena cart and LOVE them. You CAN get great/funky colors if you order them custom. You can choose the outer color or print, inner color/pattern and snap color. They also gave the option of 1G or 2G customs which is great!

Pros:
- Very trim (especially when used with LoopyDo 2G inserts), great for outings and under pants
- Gentle elastics that prevent red marks
- Front elastics that prevent leakage when baby is on his tummy
- Wide crotch provides large coverage
Cons:
- Only plain colours available (no cute designs!)
- Inner fleece layer feels damp during diaper change

Love, LOVE these diapers. I have the G1s. It's funny, they are the first pocket dipes I tried, and until I tried some other (front snap) ones, I didn't know how much I liked these. I love the side snap, they seem so much more adjustable for the legs. I have a skinny baby--he's 13 months, and he's been in the same size (medium) cloth diapers since I started CDing at 4 months. These diapers fit him so well! I stuff with premium size prefolds or hemp inserts.
I recently got one of the new one-size diapers, and I LOVE it as well. Same great fit as the G1s.

We LOVE Knickernappies 2G pocket diapers! They are perfect for overnight, even with our heavy-wetter. Our daughter is comfortable and the colors are adorable. The medium size lasts almost forever, almost as good as a onesize. We did upsize to a large during potty training, but mediums lasted us until about 33 lbs.
Pros - colors, workmanship, no leaks
Cons - they don't come with inserts, but I like using my own anyway.
(I do carry the KN diapers but I give honest reviews!)

I bought the new KN onesize. LOOOOVE the chocolate.
This was my first KN purchase. And I really cant say enough about the diaper itself. I will agree with all the positive reviews and am glad I ordered my initial 18.
I have a little chunky monkey and the low belly really makes me happy. Not to mention the colors are scrumptious.
I gave this diaper four stars instead of five because of the loopy doo preperation. I wanted to use this diaper right off the bat, and you can. But I ended up washing and drying the LD inserts five times before they were really ready. After that I am soooo smitten with the diaper and the loopydo.
I will never look back and wonder if I am missing something in another diaper.
I would recommend purchasing them from Two Little Whales. Rachel is great.

I love this diaper! It has a lovely high rise compared to my BG, FB, HH and Hugga Buns yet fits trim and works great on my skinny toddler.
I also find that after 10 months of use, mine are still looking like new, no pilling of the fleece and no stains. The colours are bright and cute and if I was at the start of my CDing journey, I would buy more of these.
Great diaper and cheaper than most other high quality pockets.

Im kind of neutral on these pockets. I bought mine new, they were clearing out the old style, so Im not sure how the G2 or whatever they're called work but ill give you my two cents on the G1s.
I had to send one of the diapers to get replaced because of a bum snap, but the CS was awesome(the actual maker of knickernappies, banana peels was sold out of that color). She sent me a new dipe and a free loopy-do soaker. Im glad she did because thats the only insert I can get into this diaper. All my other MF and hemp inserts are WAY too wide to stuff in there and even the loopy do is difficult to put in. Of course, its super trim, but I have other pockets that are very trim and not nearly as hard to stuff.
The other diaper that I bought, the elastic is shot already. It happened a monthish after I bought it. It still works ok, my son is chunky so its functional. However, Im still disappointed.
I have not had leak problems like others, but I also do not reach for this diaper unless everything else is dirty, so theres not a lot of wear.
I also dont particularly like the side snap on these. I thought it was side snap in general, but ive since tried bottombumpers with snaps and I love those. I think its the front elastic.
So, basically, I have two knickernappies, one with stretched elastic(if not for this problem I wouldve rated a 4 instead of a 3) and one loopy do insert to use between them.
Great CS, but I probably wont buy any more of these diapers. LOVE the Loopy-do though!!

This is the first pocket diaper I reach for in my diaper stash. Its so trim and the large has a nice rise for my long and skinny 2 yr old. This diaper also works as a training pant for us. Being side snap my child is able to pull it up and down for potty learning.

These dipes are very trim. I really like that they are narrow in the crotch. I have one medium that my 24lbs DS still fits into. I also have 2 larges that he just started wearing. This is one of my favorite pocket dipes for sure! Oh, and I really love the LoopyDo inserts - very absorbant for us.

I've reviewed this diaper before, but not for quite a while. I wanted to leave another review since our daughter is quite a bit older.
We used the medium 1G diapers from the time she was about a year old to almost 3 years old. We used them daily and overnight. They always did a great job, no leaks.
When the 2Gs came out, we were ready for a new size so we bought large 2Gs. We love them even more. Since they're wider in the crotch, they're easier to stuff. The new inserts are more absorbant since they're wider. We use two inserts overnight and they last our heavy-wetting toddler for 12 hours with no leaks.
She's almost totally potty trained and is waking up dry many mornings. We'll save our KNDs for the next baby.

Wonderful diaper. Had to switch from my BumGenius to a brand with snaps for my 15-month old, and worried that they wouldn't work as well. I love them as much if not more than the Bum Genius. Keeps baby and clothes dry, even overnight. Very happy customer.

We had great luck using these on our newborn. I expected them to be more prone to blow outs than fitteds might be, but the diaper held it in! We used them with regular microfiber inserts or stuffed with newborn prefolds and were fine with absorbency. They were a great fit on my chunky baby

When I got this diaper, I was delighted with all the side snaps, the color, the narrow crotch, and the high rise. I was able to put a medium on my 15 pound 3-month-old. (And for what it's worth, he's 23 pounds and still wearing the medium.)
But I had problems from the start...it leaked every time, and immediately. One time, he pooped instantly after I changed him into the diaper, and by the time I came back to him with a new diaper, I could see EBF poo coming not around the leg holes, but straight through the SEAMS on both sides. I contacted Heather at CDO (though I did not buy the diaper from there) and she immediately sent me a new one, so a huge A+++ for customer service there! However, the new one had the same problem. I double stuffed it (which was quite a feat itself with how narrow it is) with microfiber and a JustHemp insert, which was way too bulky for a simple pocket on a young baby, and still leaked after an hour. I already felt like I had done all I could, and just swallowed the fact that I had a dud diaper.
My son is now a year old and I'm able to use the diaper, but only at certain times of the day, when I know he won't leak through, like between bedtime and bathtime. Had this diaper worked for us, it would have been the bulk of my stash because I like everything else about it.

We really wanted to love this diaper. We loved our medium fuzzibunz but our baby grew out of the largest leg snap at 24lbs. So we were looking for a size large pocket diaper for our chubby thighed baby.
The fit on the KND (we have the G1s) is fabulous - the extra snaps were excellent for our chunky-legged babe - no red marks, and no tummy tightness either.
Unfortunately, they have always leaked from the inner thigh area - right from the start. We even use loopy-dos, which were made for this diaper. We have never had leaking problems with FBs or GADs. I think the problem is that the crotch is so narrow on the G1s that the insert bumps right up against the seam on both sides, so when it is moist it just wicks right out.
We have been using them anyway for 3 months now - but we end up having to change his clothes nearly every time he pees.
I wonder if the G2s are better. Unfortunately we won't find out because we can't afford any more. We were disappointed with this purchase.

This is another diaper I really wanted to like. My DD is a heavy wetter, and she soaked through these diapers (with the loopy-do insert) within an hour. The pockets are a little hard to stuff, but I'm kind of lazy that way. Otherwise, it's a very trim, cute, and colorful diaper.

We love these diapers! We tried several different brands including all the top rated Bum Genius ( We hated these- they are so short in the rise and they don'r grow with the baby at all the velcro tabs offered very little in size adjustment), Mothers Touch, Happy Heiny and Prestons Pants and these are hands down our favorite diapers. The 2nd Generation, which is out now, took care of the only issue I had with these diapers- a little hard to stuff, but now that is all solved. The snaps are wonderful and our little houdini cannot get them off- unlike all the velcro diapers he get can get out of in seconds. The two rows of snaps also offer a great fit for our tall and slim little man- he has been in the size large for almost a year and we just keep adjusting the snaps. Rachel at Two Little Whales is so prompt, knowledgable and just all around wonderful. We just ordered diapers for our little girl due in March from her and could not be happier!

Overall, I like this diaper. It has never offered to leak, and I used mine on a daily basis. I haven't had any problems with them actually. I gave it a 4 because I do not like the side snaps. I actually really don't like snaps at all, just my personal preference. I deal with a very wriggly toddler, and while snaps ARE a better choice now that he has learned to remove his diapers.. It's very hard to get him to hold still long enough to snap them. The side pieces are even harder. I do love them on my infant though. They work very well for him! Not sure that I'd buy more just because of the snaps, but they are a cheaper option for pocket diapers.
